PTA committees

Ad hoc committees executing community events throughout the year, some with fundraising goals, others focused solely on building connection and joy. (Examples: Back-to-School Picnic, Spring Fest, Movie Night, Parent’s Night Out, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, heritage celebrations, etc.)

Supporting BE’s Green Arts programming (art, gardening, sustainability, beehives, and partnerships with institutions like Fort Greene Park).

Serving as the bridge between families and the school/PTA, with structure and guidance provided by the Co-VPs of Class Parents and Volunteers.

Organizing afterschool programs and activities in and around BE 456, and building partnerships with enrichment providers, from visual arts and music to dance and gymnastics. The committee will also maintain an updated list of local afterschool options on [WEBSITE] and help coordinate program pick-ups from school and/or special offers for BE 456 families.
